LITERACY AT HOME!
Literacy Practice Websites:"Star Fall" is a fun website where students can practice literacy and phonics skills through stories, games, and other simulations. There are a range of activities for students at any reading level within the elementary ages. This link will take you to the homepage, from there students can choose their target reading level and activities they want to work with.
At this website students can actually read books, play games, and create mad libs. This is a great resource for students to read with someone else. There are whole books for multiple levels of readers. I find "Fun Brain" very easy to navigate between different subjects practice, such as math, as well.
Here is where students can practice their spelling words for the week throughout free different games and practice simulations. This site can be used for various levels not just elementary so feel free to use or recommend this for other children. Students are using this website daily during reading workshop so they are very familiar with the navigation.

Teacher Read Aloud:
Below is a read aloud done by myself of the children's book Tacky the Penguin written by Helen Lester with illustrations by Lynn Munsinger. If students have this book at home they may follow along or just watch the video to hear the story. Enjoy!
